How We Pick

The internet is full of listicles that rank ten near-identical products and refuse to name a favorite, because a favorite means fewer clicks. We do the opposite. We name one pick, tell you why, and tell you who should skip it.

How We Review

Intastravel curates travel accessories across five pillars: luggage, packing, travel tech, comfort, and security. We do not try to list every product in a category. We name the one worth carrying, give you a runner-up, and tell you who should pick the other one instead.

Every recommendation comes with a specific, real-use reason, not an adjective. And every review carries at least one honest negative: a product's weakness, a gimmick to avoid, or the reader who should skip the pick entirely. If everything were excellent, nothing would be.

We do not invent measurements, test results, or statistics to sound authoritative. When a luggage spec or an airline-fit question matters, we point you to a specialist resource such as NewCarryOn, which holds verified dimensions cross-referenced against airline policies. We recommend the bag. A source built for the numbers confirms it fits.

Affiliate Disclosure

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click through and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

We disclose these relationships plainly on every article they appear in. An affiliate program never earns a product a recommendation. The pick comes first, and if an affiliate link happens to exist for it, we use it. If one does not, we link to the product anyway.

Who We Are

Intastravel is run by Elodie Marchetti, a former airport travel-retail buyer now based in Lisbon. For a decade she decided which travel accessories earned shelf space in airport shops, which meant she saw the sell-through data on all of it: which pieces got returned, which got quietly discontinued, and which sold every day because they simply worked.

That job gave her something most reviewers do not have. She knew the category from the supply side, and she grew allergic to marketing copy because she had already read the honest version in the returns reports. She started Intastravel to write down the recommendations she had been texting friends for years, before a trip.

We do not cover everything. We cover the gear we have actually used, and we tell you plainly what to buy and what to leave at home.
